Beef Kakkarotti / KunjiPathal / Rice Dumplings in Beef Gravy

For Pidi / Pathal
Parboiled Rice:1 Cup
Raw Rice(Pachari):1/2 Cup
Rice powder:1/4 Cup
Shallots/Small Onion:1/4 Cup
Fennel Seeds:1/4 tsp
Grated Coconut :3/4 Cup
Salt to taste

For Masala
Beef : 1/4 Kg
Onion:1 ,Sliced
Tomato:1 1/2 
Green Chilli:2 Sliced
Red Chilli Powder:1 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder:2 tsp
Turmeric Powder:1/2 tsp
Garam Masala:1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves:few
Salt to taste
To roast
Coconut:5 tsp
Curry leaves: a few
Turmeric powder:1/4 tsp
Shallots:3 nos.
For Seasoning
Coconut Oil : 1 Tbsp
Small Onion:5-6
Fennel Seeds:1/4 tsp
Preparation Method
1.Wash and soak Rice for about 6 hours.
2.Blend the soaked rice along with shallots,fennel seeds,salt and grated coconut by adding little water.(The batter should be thick)
3.Transfer it to a bowl.By adding Rice Flour prepare a thick dough.
4.Prepare small coin shape dumplings and steam them for about 20 minutes.  Keep aside.
5.In a Pressure Cooker take the ingredients under For Masala , Cook in enough water until the beef is cooked.
6.Dry Roast the ingredients under To Roast, Grind with fennel seeds and add to the prepared beef curry.
7.Heat coconut oil in a pan,add sliced small onions and saute until it turns into brown color and add into the curry.
8.Add the prepared rice dumplings into the curry and combine well.keep in low flame for few minutes or until the gravy becomes thick.
