Papaya Curry

Papaya is a fruit which has a wide range of health benefits and medicinal properties making it a great option to include in your diet.This can be used in many different ways. The raw papaya can be eaten as is, added to a fruit salad and the green or unripe papaya is used to make curry and side dishes.The chief ingredient here is raw papaya and the curry base is a spiced coconut paste.Have it with rice,some thoran or upperi,pickle and a spicy fish fry makes a perfect healthy meal.

Papaya:2 cup,diced into cubes
Green chilii:3
Turmeric Powder:1/2 tsp
Water as needed
Salt to taste

Grated coconut:1/4 cup
Cumin seeds:1/4 tsp
Small onion:3 
Garlic: 3 
Mustard seeds:1/4 tsp
Tamarind Extract:1/4 cup
Curd:1/2 Cup
Coconut Oil:2 tsp
Preparation Method
1.Grind grated coconut with cumin seeds,garlic and small onions in little water.
2.Cook the diced papaya along with turmeric powder,green chilli and salt by adding enough water.
3.When the Papaya is half done add tamarind extract and mix well and allow to cook until done.
4.Add coconut mix,adjust salt and allow to simmer in medium flame for two minutes.
5.Add diluted curd to the curry and cook 2 minutes more and remove from fire.
4.Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
5.Pour this to the curry and combine well.Enjoy with rice.
