Bottle Gourd ( Chiranga /Churakka) Curry

Bottle Gourd is excellent for people who are on diet. It contains many Vitamins and minerals and the  juice of this vegetable is popular for weight loss. Here I am posting a simple  yet delicious curry that will not take more time to cook.

Dal:1/4 Cup
Bottle gourd/Chiranga :1 cup,chopped
Onion:1/2 of one,Sliced
Green chillies:3
Turmeric Powder:1/2 tsp
Water as needed
Salt to taste
Grated coconut:1/4 cup

Cumin seeds:1/4 tsp
Small onion:2 
Garlic :2 pods
Mustard seeds:1/4 tsp
Red chillies:2
Coconut Oil:2 tsp
Preparation Method
1.Cook Dal by adding turmeric powder,salt and enough water.
2.Add onion,tomato,sliced green chillies,allow it cook for few minutes.
3.Add chopped chiranga into it.
4.Grind grated coconut,cumin seeds ,Garlic and small onions with enough water.
5.Once the curry is done , add coconut mix and cook 2 minutes more.
4.Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds ,add red chilli and curry leaves.
6.Pour this to the curry,Serve with Rice
