Unnakkaya / Kai Ada

Ingredients
Plantain/Banana:2,medium riped
Oil:for frying
For Filling:

Grated Coconut:5 tsp
Sugar: 3 tsp
Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp
Chopped cashews: 1 1/2 tsp
Ghee:1 tbsp

Preparation Method 
1.Steam the plantains for about 10 minutes.  Do not over cook.Allow them to cool down.Then remove the skin and mash the plantains with hand till it becomes smooth.Make lemon sized balls with them.
2.Heat a pan ,dry roast grated coconut along with sugar,chopped cashews and cardamom.Remove from fire and set aside.
3.Apply some ghee on palm, take banana balls and spread it on the palm.
4.Place some filling onto the center of flattened banana and fold one side over to wrap up the filling. Nicely join them with hands.Repeat the process till all the banana balls are used up.
5.Heat oil in a pan and deep fry,serve hot.
