Ney Pathal/ Ney Pathiri / Fried Rice Rotti

Rice powder:1 cup
Water:1 cup
Coconut grated: 1/2cup
Cumin:1/2 tsp
Shallots: 4-5, chopped
Salt to taste
Ghee:1/2 tsp
Oil for frying

Preparation Method
1.In a pan heat 1 tsp ghee and when its hot add water and allow it to boil.
2.When boils reduce the flame,add salt and slowly add rice powder and warm it for some time and turn off the heat.
3.In a mixer blend grated coconut with shallots and cumin seeds.(Don't make paste).

4.Add this to the flour and knead well with hands to make a smooth dough.
5.Take small portions from the dough and make lemon sized balls and flatten into  disc.
6.Heat coconut oil in pan and drop the flattened pathiris into the oil.Gently press on top and when they start puffing turn over and fry other side.
7.Serve hot with some spicy curry.
