Unnithandu (banana stem) Upperi

Unnithandu /Banana Stem: 1 piece
Horse gram: 1/4 cup
Red chillies : 2
Salt to taste
Small onions:4,chopped
Oil : 1 tbsp
Curry leaves : 1 sprig
Water: 1/2 cup
Preparation Method
1.Soak the horse gram for 6-7 hours.
2.Remove the outer skin of the banana stem and cut it into very small pieces. While cutting remove the fiber as much a possible.
2.Pressure cook the unnithandu along with horse gram,green chilli, salt wiith enough water.(Up to 2 whistles)
3.Heat oil in a Pan, add chopped small onions,garlic when it turns to brown add red chillies and curry leaves.
4.Pour this to the cooker,Stop fire.
