Sponge Cake

Ingredients
All purpose flour / Maida:1 cup
Sugar:1 cup
Eggs:4,separated
Butter:50g, melted
Cardamom powder:1/4 tsp
Baking powder:1/2 tspVanilla Essence:3 drops

Preparation Method
1.Beat egg whites at high speed using an electric mixer till frothy, about 3 minutes.
2.Add egg yolks, one at a time, to the egg white batter and mix well.
3.Add sugar and butter into the egg mix and beat for another 3 minutes.
4.Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture and fold in with a metal spoon.
5.Add vanilla essence and cardamom powder and mix well.
6.Grease the cake tin with  butter and sprinkle some flour into the tin and pour the batter into the tin.
7.Steam cook in low flame for about 15 minutes.(Or Bake In Oven).
