Rasam

Ingredients
Tomato (Medium Sized) :3
Garlic pods: 4 or 5
Dry Red Chillies :2
Mustard Seeds: 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Chilly Powder: 1 tsp
Rasam Powder :2 tbsp
Curry Leaves: A few
Coriander Leaves: A few
Tamarind Extract: 2tbsp
Salt: As required
Water: 2 cups
Black Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
Asfoetida:A pinch

Preparation Method
1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a thick bottom pan.
2. Splutter Mustard seeds and add the dry red chillies and saute.
3. Add chopped garlic, tomatoes and saute.
4. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and rasam powder, stir for a few seconds.
5. Add curry leaves and cilantro and saute.
6. Mix the Tamarind Paste and pour 2 cups of water and add salt to taste.
7. Keep it on low flame for 7-8 minutes and bring it to a boil.
8. Finally, sprinkle some pepper powder and asfoetida.
