Green Gram(Cherupayar) Curry

Green Gram(Cherupayar):1/2 cup
Onion:1 small,sliced
Green chilli:2,slit
Salt to taste
water :As required
Ginger garlic paste:1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder:1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder:1/4 tsp
Coriander powder:1/4 tsp
Small onions:3
Curry leaves:1 spring
For Coconut Paste
Coconut grated: 1/4 cup
Small onion:2
Red Chilli:2
Curry Leaves:1 spring
Preparation Method
1.Soak green gram in water for at least 5-6 hours.
2.In a pan fry grated coconut with small onion,Red chilli and curry leaves until golden brown color.Grind it by adding little water.
3.Pressure cook gram along with tomatoes,onion,green chilli,ginger garlic paste,salt and all powders.
4.Add  coconut paste and bring to boil,add curry leaves.
5.Heat oil in pan and add small onions,saute till it turns to brown color.
6.Pour this to the curry.
